Story 16 - Week 3 - Friendships Rule in Fishing 1: A Unique Bachelor Party

Some bachelor parties are soaked in alcohol — but not this one...!!!!!????

For this unique story, we go back to December 10th, 2022. Boarding the boat are Luca, Gian and Max.
More than 80% of our customers return because of the overall experience. Every aspect of the fishing trip receives careful attention: the accommodation, the boats, the guiding...
But Luca had a very special reason to return: he was getting married!
And instead of throwing a bachelor party like most people do — with all friends and plenty of alcohol — no, he invited only his very best friends for an international fishing trip with guide Hans, with whom he had become close friends during previous guided days.

They chose a perch day. But luck was not on their side: it was freezing cold, windless, and dangerously foggy. Cancelling or rescheduling was not an option given the bachelor context, so we went for it.
Safety first in this thick fog, so we head right, into the safer bay!
We couldn’t see a hand in front of our eyes and navigated very slowly into the bay, away from all possible maritime traffic.
But the Lowrance sonar had no trouble with the fog at all and showed a promising first spot with some good-sized perch.
Gian immediately hooked a small pike of 75 cm on the cheburashka.
And it didn’t stop there — the first perch was also for Gian, again on the cheburashka, a solid 49 cm!
And Gian proved unstoppable: his third fish broke the magical 50 cm mark.
He kept going, in top form, but after 5 fish it was finally Max’s turn.
Max kept it modest with a 26 cm perch. Luca now caught his first perch as well, same size, and Max followed up with his first pike, a 42 cm jack.
Because the fog was still impenetrable and the fish were getting smaller, we slowly moved to the second spot. The sidescan again showed a very promising image.
We caught both pike and perch at an incredible pace here, and Luca even managed a 48 cm perch on a twitchbait, weighted with a sinker so he could present it at the right depth — we were fishing between 6 and 8 meters!
We had to return briefly to the slipway to help another customer in trouble, but we were quickly back because the bite was on!
Back at the first spot, Gian opened exactly the same way: first a 70 cm pike and then a 49.5 cm perch!!!
Now Max and Luca were warmed up too, and one big perch after another came aboard. Luca seemed subscribed to the 48 cm size, but...
Suddenly his cheburashka was brutally stopped in the depths: BAMMM — and yes, a 51 cm perch!
No fewer than 26 perch came aboard, with 5 of them breaking the magical 50 cm barrier!!!
Since that day — or rather the week after — Luca is happily married. And he still travels the world with his fishing rod to practice our beloved sport.
I don’t need to tell you that he and his friends have already returned to fish with us ;-)

WHAT AN AWESOME BACHELOR PARTY!!!
